2021-2022, Interactive Installation, video, sculpture
Transparencies is a body of work exploring topics of queer identity and the artist’s relationship with gender.
The central piece in the body of work is Telephone Game, a performative piece utilizing sculptural form as a communicative barrier between artist and participant. The artist is locked inside the sculpture for several hours at a time, sharing stories and memories with participants who choose to communicate through the inherently difficult method of tin-can phone. The longest performance of Telephone Game thus far lasted 8 hours.
