Rogue Terminal
2023, Interactive Mixed Media Installation
Rogue Terminal was a large-scale, immersive, and interactive public art exhibition consisting of a dreamlike reconstruction of the interior of the artist’s childhood home based on a hand drawn map from the artist’s grade school years.
The exhibition consisted of 7 rooms, each room becoming less representational and more psychological as viewers move through the space. An optional written companion to the experience was a choose-your-own-adventure book that offered context and clues as to how an where to interact with objects via a first-person narrative.
Rogue Terminal uses architectural space and personal archives to explore the liminal nature of nonbinary transition. Through a nostalgic lens, Rogue Terminal informs witnesses of the complexities of a queer coming of age story within a tumultuous domestic environment
